I was messing around with the cool new tools Harmony has and figured out how to do tone changes and overlay highlights and all sorts of fancy shape translations. So efficient!

A short cartoon I made in my 2D Animation Production class at SCAD. Wow, I’m glad this is done. This was my first time using Toon Boom Harmony to such a full extent and I’ve learned SO MUCH. I feel like if I were to re-do this cartoon it would be 100x better now that I’ve figured out the nuances of Harmony. Which is great, because that means I’ve learned a lot. … Yeah?

I worked in Maya 2013 to create my idea of Kida’s personal bedroom (from the disney movie Atlantis) post Milo. I used a mix of Greek architecture and Moroccan decoration, since some rumors claim Atlantis is somewhere between Greece and Africa. Even though Kida is a princess, the furniture would be practical and sturdy due to the economic state of her society. Tried to get a “spiritual warrior” vibe. Not a lot of books on the bookshelf because her society is widely illiterate, but I’m guessing Milo helps teach her to read and she takes an interest in it to try and restore Atlantis’s previously rich culture…

… I, uh, kind of put a lot of thought into this.

Testing out Harmony’s lip syncing tool. It seems to work alright and gets the basic sounds down, but still needs a lot of adjustment afterwards.

He’s saying “… but ‘Star’ is great!”. The line is actually from The Lost Boys, but I couldn’t download the sound clip so I just voiced it myself and took down the pitch in Garageband. Punk rock.
